May News!

The C

Welcome to Bright May!

May has arrived, and with it, the promise of warmer days and even more colour in our gardens. It is a wonderful time of year to feel inspired by nature, and here at The Craft Box, we are certainly making the most of the brighter mornings and the fresh energy that this month brings!

Spotlight on Special Days

May is full of reasons to get creative. Here are a few dates to keep in mind:

  • 1st May: May Day – The traditional start of the summer season! It is a lovely excuse to start a new project with a floral or spring theme.

  • 12th May: National Limerick Day – A bit of fun for the writers and card-makers out there. Why not try writing a cheeky verse inside one of your handmade cards this month?

  • 20th May: World Bee Day – We love a bee-themed craft! To celebrate our busy garden visitors, we have launched our seed starter kits online—perfect for growing your own bee-friendly blooms at home.

  • 25th May: Spring Bank Holiday – The perfect long weekend to finally finish that craft kit you have been tucking away for a rainy day (though we are hoping for sunshine!).

Summer Craft Fair Update

Following on from our April update, we are delighted to announce that our summer schedule is starting to take shape!

We have just confirmed that The Craft Box will be at the Queen’s Park Food Festival on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June. We are still busy finalising exactly where we will be heading with our stalls for the rest of June and July, but the diary is filling up fast.

Thank you for your patience—you can now find the first of our confirmed summer dates on our Craft Fair Calendar, and we will be adding more locations very soon!

Fresh Designs Online

Our Blind Date with a Book sets have been flying off the virtual shelves since their launch in April! If you haven’t secured your mystery read yet, keep an eye on the website as we continue to add new titles and genres to the collection.

We also have our full range of card making kits, kids’ craft kits, and seasonal sweet treats available for those quiet afternoons at home. Whether you are looking for a gift or a little treat for yourself, the website is fully stocked and ready for browsing.

Thank you for continuing to support The Craft Box. We love being part of your crafting journey!

The Craft Box - Inspiring Creativity

Welcome to the Joys of April!

April has arrived, bringing with it the true start of spring! Firstly, please accept a small apology for this update reaching you a little later than usual. It has been an incredibly busy start to the month here at The Craft Box, but we are now settling into a wonderful rhythm of creativity and fresh beginnings.

Spotlight on Special Days

There is still plenty to celebrate as we move through the rest of the month! Mark your calendars for these upcoming highlights:

  • 18th April: New “Blind Date with a Book” Release – Keep your eyes peeled! We will be launching our latest batch of Blind Date with a Book sets on the 18th. While these have been a firm favourite on our stalls in person for a while, we have decided to finally launch them online so everyone can join the fun. They are perfect for anyone looking to surprise themselves with a mystery read!

  • 21st April: National Tea Day – Is there anything better than a hot cuppa while you craft? It is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to some of our seasonal sweet treats—the perfect companion to your afternoon brew.

  • 23rd April: World Book Night – This follows our new release on the 18th, so it’s such a wonderful time to dive into a new story. Our mystery sets will be ready to find their forever homes.

Looking Ahead: Summer Craft Fairs

We are currently in the process of finalising our schedule for the summer months! We are busy reviewing local events and deciding which craft fairs we will be attending over the sunny season. We know many of you enjoy visiting us in person, so stay tuned—we will share the confirmed dates and locations as soon as they are all set in stone. Alternatively you can keep an eye on our Craft Fair Calendar.

Spring into Creativity

With the school holidays in full swing for many, it is a fantastic time to keep little hands busy. Our kids’ craft kits and painting kits are perfect for those rainy April afternoons when you want to encourage some screen-free fun.

We are also busy in the workshop prepping new handmade gifts and fresh seasonal treats. Although we aren’t at any fairs this month, the website is fully stocked and running beautifully, so you can browse our full range of card making kits and gift sets from the comfort of your sofa.

Thank you for being part of our journey since we began sharing back in 2021. Your support means the world to us!

Until our next catch-up, happy crafting!

December News!

December News

Ho! Ho! Ho!

We hope you are enjoying our Christmas range of craft kits, we’ve tried to add a few new gift ideas to the range this year.

This month sees some other celebrated days to get you in the festive mood, like Christmas Jumper Day (7th), Panto Day (15th) – I know what you’re thinking, “Oh no it’s not!” but “Oh yes it is!” Who can resist a good Panto? There is also the Winter Solstice (21st) where winter officially begins and the nights become longer than daylight hours, but don’t think of it as a negative, as on a clear night those in the North can catch glimpses of Aurora Borealis and those further south can head away from the lights of the towns and cities to catch a stargazing event (fun fact, organised events can sometimes have food trucks that sell that all important hot chocolate, which is a must for this time of year. Obviously we have Christmas Eve (24th), Christmas Day (25th) and Boxing Day (26th) occurring. Then at the end of the month we have Hogmanay (31st) to allow us to ring in the new year.

However you are celebrating Christmas (hopefully crafting with one of our awesome kits), we hope you enjoy it.

If you have anything you would like to share with our team, please drop us an email we love hearing from you.

So until our catch-up next month, stay safe.

Last month saw the launch of our Christmas range and this month will see more launched.  We hope you are loving our Christmas products as much as we are.

For those not thinking of Christmas just yet, here are some other celebrated days to think about instead: you could make someone’s day on World Smile Day (6th) by just keeping a pleasant smile on your face all day – you’ll see that it’s actually contagious; or take things niiiiiiice aaaaaand slooooooow on International Sloth Day (20th); then there’s the totally awesome Back to the Future Day (21st) and an excuse to go into work in the 80’s gear you have at the back of your wardrobe…or you could just wait until Halloween (31st) and wear it then.

Whatever you are doing this month, we hope you enjoy it.

If you have anything you would like to share with our team, please drop us an email we love hearing from you.

So until our catch-up next month, stay safe.
