Summer has officially arrived, and with it, the promise of sunny afternoons and a slower, more relaxing pace. It is the perfect time of year to pause, take a breath, and let the bright summer colours inspire your next project. Here at The Craft Box, we are looking forward to the warmer days ahead and sharing some peaceful crafting time with you all.
An Update from the Studio
You may have noticed that our usual June newsletter didn’t go out. Sadly, we experienced a sudden family bereavement last month, and we needed to take some quiet time away from the studio to be together. Thank you so much to everyone who reached out with such kind, thoughtful messages during a very difficult few weeks—your warmth and support truly mean the world to us.
Before taking that necessary break, we poured our hearts into preparing for the Queen’s Park Food Festival at the very beginning of June. It was an incredibly busy, whirlwind weekend in the giant artisan marquee! Despite some unpredictable weather, it was wonderful to layout our full 8ft table and meet so many of you in person. Seeing people pick up our sets and chat about their own crafting projects was a massive boost, and we are so grateful to everyone who stopped by the stall to support us.
Spotlight on Special Days
July is packed with fantastic opportunities to try something new, wind down, and get creative. Here are a few dates to keep in mind this month:
1st–7th July: Create Week – A brilliant nationwide celebration of all things creative! There is no better excuse to switch off your screens, clear the kitchen table, and spend an hour making something completely unique with your hands.
4th July: Alice in Wonderland Day – A wonderfully whimsical day to celebrate classic storytelling. It’s the perfect excuse to pickup one of our Blind Date with a Book sets, curl up in a shady spot in the garden with a good book and a refreshing drink.
24th July: Virtual Tea Party Day – Pour a cup of your favourite blend, put out a biscuit, and catch up with a friend for a long-distance natter. If you don’t have any biscuits in, we can help with that: try out Tea & Biscuits range.
