Happy Halloween!

It’s been a very strange atmosphere these last few weeks, what with the passing of the only monarch most people have ever known. One of those major events that normal people assume will never affect them and get surprised that it has touched them. The news coverage of it was just overwhelmingly sad, I think it would have brought a tear to even a glass eye. A new era, for the first time in 70 years we have a King once again – the national anthem will take some getting used to at the next Olympics. With that new era, let’s learn from the past and look to the future.
Speaking of the future….spooky season is almost upon us again.
September is breast cancer awareness month, there’s World Snow Leopard Day on 24th, National Pumpkin Day on 26th and of course the clocks go back on 30th (I like to do the rhyme to help me remember: Spring forward, Fall back). And lastly, I guess it needs no introduction, Halloween is on the 31st.
In keeping with this theme, we have some cool Halloween kits to share with you, we still have our Autumn kits from last month and we have our new Autumn topper sets about to go live this month.
Until our catch-up next month, all you happy crafters, stay safe trick or treating x

It’s the time of the year when nature puts on it’s very own colour show and don’t get me started on the pumpkin spiced latte’s. Although here at HQ, September is known as Spider Month since all the larger spiders appear for their annual mating (for the record, we all scream at the sight of spiders around here).
This month, as always, marks the autumnal equinox (the time of year where the sun passes the equator, the official end of summer for us here in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of summer for the Southern Hemisphere) where both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres of our wonderful planet share roughly the same daylight as night.
In the small village I am from the autumnal equinox was always the mark of our harvest thanksgiving. Not hugely celebrated outside of our village ( which is surrounded by fields for miles) and mainly in the local church, where people would bring filled baskets as a mark of thanks to the church.
September is also National Classical Music month, and we celebrate International Day of Charity on the 5th so look out for our charity card kits.
Did you know that September is also the most popular month for birthday’s in the UK? That said, we have some new birthday card kits for you to enjoy.
Also, inspired by all the wonderful September colours we have created Autumn card kits that compliment these.
Until our catch-up next month, all you happy crafters, stay safe x

Let me apologise for posting this months News randomly on the 15th, we’ve had some technical and staffing issues with our ordering system over at HQ which lead to an all hands on deck with lots of manual processing of orders….and ultimately this post not going out at the start of the month like it normally does. I know, it’s no excuse and it should never have been forgotten.
So anyway, new products to look out for this month are our A4 Birthday Topper Sets and new get well card making kits.
Until our catch-up next month, all you happy crafters, stay safe x

Who can believe that half of the year has been and gone already? I barely can. Well here at The Craft Box HQ, we’ve been super busy so time really has flown past.
So now it’s July, let’s see what fun days we can all celebrate in July. Oh did you know July is National Ice Cream month? But who needs an excuse to eat some right? We also have World UFO Day tomorrow (2nd) – we plan to dress up in the office for that one. Next week sees World Chocolate Day (7th), so naturally we have to celebrate that one in the office on Thursday!
This month is super exciting for us, as we are about to launch an exciting new product range – so stay tuned to find out more in the next few days.
As well as the new product lines our designers have been working hard on some new card kits in the birthday and general sections of our site, so look out for them over the coming weeks.

Look out your T-shirts and shades because it’s summer time! With June’s warmer weather we get to open the windows wide and allow the heat in instead of putting on the heating.
As well as the start of summer this month we also have World Ocean Day (Wednesday 8th), Father’s Day (Sunday 19th), the Summer Solstice (the day of the year with the most daylight – Tuesday 21st) and we can’t forget Social Media Day (Thursday 30th).
With the Queens Jubilee, here at The Craft Box, we get a longer weekend to chill out before we start to create and share some of our new card kits. Look out for our summer themed kits in the birthday and general categories, some ocean themed kits raising money for Marine Conservation Society (MCS), as well as more of our new Father’s Day kits.
