Happy New Year!

A very old greeting used in Scotland at New Year, meaning may your new year be a prosperous one – after all if you could afford to make your “lum reek” (keep your fire lit, smoke bellowing from the chimney) that would indeed make you wealthy back in the day.
Another year, another load of planning new products: we’ve been working hard to create newly designed general card kits for any occasion and birthday kits, plus we have some new topper sets coming your way so look out for those over the next few weeks.
But until our next catch-up next month, happy new year!

This month sees World Wildlife Conservation Day (4th) to raise awareness in help preserving the worlds’ most endangered species. Christmas jumpers at the ready for Christmas Jumper Day (14th), I know I have mine at the ready and nothing confirms winter is here like the Winter Solstice (21st), the day of the year where we have the shortest hours of daylight – just under 8 hours – or as I like to see it, less time until you get to go home and curl up in comfy clothes with some hot chocolate!
Of course we can’t forget Christmas Day (25th) – but you already knew that, and lastly Hogmanay (31st) where it’s out with the old and in with the new.
Speaking of Christmas, it is fast approaching and whether it’s everyone in cosy jumpers, Christmas tunes in every shop or ‘Home Alone’ on every night, you’ll not be allowed to forget it!
Here at HQ it’s no exception, decorations aplenty, twinkly lights, hot chocolate and Christmas music – all to get us in the mood for “Santa! I know him.” – Elf
That does not mean it’s not been a busy few weeks, getting peak Christmas order ready and organising new designs for our Christmas range.
But until our next catch-up next month, “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

It’s such a busy month with National/International/World awareness days this month.
November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness month, anyone who has known anyone with Alzheimer’s will tell you that a month is not probably not enough to raise awareness of this horrendous disease and what it does to it’s victims.
Also this month we have Guy Fawkes Night (5th), Remembrance Day (11th), Remembrance Sunday (13th), Black Friday (25th), Cyber Monday (28th), World Jaguar Day (29th) and St Andrew’s Day (30th). Wow that’s a lot of events in November!
In honour of Remembrance Day we have poppy theme charity card kits where all proceeds go to Poppy Scotland.
We also have our Black Friday deals, these should pop-up on social media – so look out for them.
Until our catch-up next month, all you happy crafters, stay safe (especially near sparklers) x
